Punctum Semiotics Monographs

Punctum Semiotics Monographs is a series committed to supporting the publication of long-form monographs and edited collections in all fields of semiotic research. Aimed to highlight both original and novel themes and problematics within the semiotic discipline, it invites proposals from 30.000 up to 60.000 words (incl. references), i.e., of significantly larger scope and depth than research articles but not reaching the typical book length.
The series volumes are published in English and are free to access and download via the Punctum’s website under the Creative Commons License CC-BY-NC 4.0 International. All proposals are refereed by the Punctum’s Editorial Board and the series editor(s). For the initial refereeing process, all submitted proposals should contain:
- Brief synopsis (1000-2000 words) describing the topic and the theoretical/methodo-logical framework. A ‘paper by paper synopsis’ is recommended for edited volumes.
- Table of Contents
- Names and affiliations of the author(s)
Once a proposal is accepted, the manuscript(s) will be evaluated through a double-blind review process, following the standard reviewing procedures of Punctum. International Journal of Semiotics.
